William Bullock

William Robert Bullock, 88, of Coon Rapids Minnesota and formerly of Zion, died July 13, 2006. William was born July 7, 1918 in Mt. Vernon, Illinois where he grew up, then later moved to Zion. He spent the last five years living with his daughter in Coon Rapids, Minnesota. William was a Charter Member of the Wesley Free Methodist Church in Waukegan and was also a member of the First Southern Baptist Church of Waukegan. He retired from culligan in Northbrook where he was a welder, worked for Knox Realty and later worked many years for Realty Executives in Waukegan. He served in World War II in the army and was also a member of the Masons. William was best known for his love for his family and friends. He is survived by two sons Larry (Linda) bullock of Charleston, IL, Tom (Tammy) Bullock of Newnan, Georgia; one daughter Toni Watkins of Coon Rapids, Minnesota; ten granchildrn, Michael Bullock, Lisa Steiner, Melissa Bullock, and Lori Weakly all of Springfield, IL John Ashby of Beach Park, IL, Ashlee and Rachel Watkins of Coon Rapids, MN, Natalie and Kate Bullock of Newnan, GA, and Chad Wuori of Waukegan, IL; one Great-Grandchild; and three brothers Sherman, Joe Frank and Jerry all of Mt. Vernon, IL. William was preceded in death by his father and mother David and Altha Bullock; his wife Floy Maxine; three brothers James Russell, Ralph and Max Bullock; one sister Mary Lou Moore; and one step-son Jerru Lee Ashby. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday July 18, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd. Zion, interment will follow at Benton-Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. until the time of the service.
