He is survived by his wife Patricia, his five children, Robert (Emily), James (Blythe), Kathleen (Tim), Thomas (Rachel) and Brian, and his seven grandchildren, Sean, Eleanor, Caden, Cale, Margaret, Hannah and Lucy. He was an educator and mentor who touched countless lives through his affiliation with the Boy Scouts of America and years of teaching at Woodlands Academy, Columbia College, Barat College and many others. He was a man of immense integrity and loyalty who volunteered to serve his country in the Vietnam War and was awarded the Bronze Star during his second tour in 1967.
