Obituary of Linda Magnuson

Linda D. Magnuson (nee Ames), 64, of Wadsworth, IL, went to be with the Lord after a lengthy illness on Sunday, July 23, 2006, at Bloomingdale Pavilion, Bloomingdale, IL. Linda was born March 13, 1942, in Waukegan and graduated from Warren Township High School in 1959. Survivors include her son Joseph (Susann) Ames of Lindenhurst, IL; and daughters, Tammy Torres of Bensenville, IL, Mary Magnuson of Russell, IL,and Joy (Adam) Brimingham of Memphis, TN; 11 grandchildren, Susie, Jeremy, Joseph and Joshua Ames, Megan Bracher, Holly Torres, Tommy, Lauren, and Heather Magnuson, and Rebecca and Jessica Brimingham; her mother, Ethel Ames of Wadsworth, IL; 6 brothers, Larry Ames of Wadsworth, Glen Ames of Beach Park, Roderick Ames of Zion, Kenneth Ames of Wadsworth, William Ames of Kenosha, WI, and Robert Ames of Wadsworth; 3 sisters, Sandra Steffenhagen of Wadsworth, Gloria Mihalic of Waukegan and Joyce Ames of Beach Park; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Mortimer Ames; sister-in-law, Sandy Ames; and nephew, Brian Steffenhagen. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, July 28, 2006 at 12:00 p.m. at Kenosha First Assembly Church, 10700 75th St., Kenosha. Interment is private for the family. Visitation will be Thursday, July 27, 2006, from 5:00-8:00 p.m., at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion. Memorial donations to the family have been suggested.
