Obituary of Juanita Smith

Juanita I. Smith, 84, of Beach Park, IL, passed away peacefully on October 31, 2020. Juanita was born November 23, 1935 in Quincy, IL. She was a long-time member of the Zion-Benton Moose club. She was a woman of strong faith. Juanita was a caring and loving mother and she cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Juanita is survived by her daughters, Carol (Terry) Gray, Marilyn (Russell) Scaggs, and Audrey Jackson; seven grandchildren, Andrea (Joe) Smith, Meghan (Eric) Netzband, Kimberly (Dennis) Roberts, Russell Scaggs Jr., Eric (Amanda) Scaggs, Terry (Tiffany) Jackson, and Kristi Jackson; fourteen great-grandchildren; and brother, James Patterson. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Barbara Gail; father and mother, Von and Osce Patterson; sisters, Catherine Crump and Doris Riley; and a brother-in-law, Lloyd Riley. There will be no services. Memorial donations can be made in Juanita’s honor to the Alzheimers Association.
