Ruth DeRohan, 91, of Zion, passed away on Friday, July 27, 2006.
Ruth was born March 21, 1915 in Chicago, IL, and attended Grace Missionary Church in Zion.
She was a past member of the Zion Women's Club and was an avid bridge player.
Ruth is survived by a daughter, Joy (Howard) Bennett of Zion; four grandchildren, Craig (Karen) Bennett of Zion, Bill (Jodi) Bennett of Wentzville, MO, Rev. Lewis (Sherry) Bennett of Knox, PA, and Jill (Joel) Showalter of Bolingbrook, IL; twelve great grandchildren; brother, David (Darlene) Hammond of Beach Park, IL; sister, Mary Fredrickson of Zion; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bill DeRohan in 1975; father and mother, John and Madeline Hammond; and brother, Bud Hammond.
A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2006, at 3:00 p.m., with Rev. Lewis Bennett officiating, at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
