Obituary of Charles "Chuck" E. Ranta

Charles “Chuck” E. Ranta, 82, Kenosha, WI, passed away on Friday, December 18th, 2020, peacefully at home in Pleasant Prairie WI. Chuck was born May 16th, 1938 in Painseville, Ohio to parents John and Amilad Ranta, and later moved to Florence WI. He married Janice Marie (nee Smith) on September 28th, 1984, later Chuck began a career with Fansteel and retired after 18 years in 2000. Chuck is survived by his wife, Janice; Sister, Pearl Kelly of Ottawa, Il; Children, Michelle (special friend Lou) Chapman of Kenosha, WI, Michael (Lisa) Thorn of Winthrop Harbor, Il. Charlene Jamison of Galveston TX, Charles Ranta (Tamara) of Beecher, WI, Kelly Wilbanks of Galveston, TX, William Ranta (Brenda) of Lebanon, Pa, Jennifer Pace of Iron Mountain, MI, and Jesse Ranta (Elise) of Anchor Il. Chuck is also survived by 27 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; along with other friends and family Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, John and Almilda; 2 brothers, John and Paul; and 5 sisters, Mabel, Jannette, Lydia, Alma, and Mary. Services will be private for the family.
