Obituary of Hector Luis Colon

Hector Luis Colon, 64, of Beach Park, IL, passed away on January 8, 2021. Hector was born April 21, 1956 in Waukegan, IL. He married Angie Figueroa Santiago in 1977 and was an Engineering Technician at Liquid Controls for 35 years. Hector is survived by his wife of 44 years, Angie Colon; children, Jason (Dalymar) Colon, and Cassie M. (Kamden Holcomb) Colon; grandchild, Xander; father, Luis Sotomayor; sister, Iris Colon; and many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor Sotomayor; and sisters, Maria L. Colon and Dianel Reid. A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 23, 2021 from 12:00 until 2:00 p.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL. A memorial service will follow at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
