Anita Kutschke

Obituary of Anita Frances Eilers Kutschke

It is with great sadness that the family of Anita Frances Eilers Kutschke announces her passing on Friday, January 15th, 2021, at the age of 83 years. She was born June 12, 1937 in Chicago IL, to Frank and Marcella Eilers, older sister to Mary Kay Eilers Eipert who all proceeded her in death. Anita married Erwin Kutschke on July 2, 1960. We are comforted to know that they are all reunited in heaven. Anita will be lovingly remembered by her children, Tom, Julie (Matt) Kabelitz, Joanne (Bob) Copas, Ed (Sue), Frank (Alison), and Liz (Andy) Armstrong. She is the proud Gramma to her thirteen grandchildren, Liz, Leah, David, Sloan, Tommy, Jack, Matthew, Megan, Hannah, Scott, Carly, Mark and Craig. Anita cherished her many loving nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews. She loved to surround herself with lifelong friends and their families. She will be remembered as Mrs. K by her children’s friends who received her limitless love. She took care of so much and fed so many. She welcomed those who needed a place to land, be they family, friends, or visitors from near and far away and loved them the same as her own. Anita’s hospitality is legendary. Her parties are remembered far beyond their late ending hours. She started her career at Encyclopedia Brittanica, had a brief position in the Army, took a break to raise her children, and then returned to Films Incorporated, Coronet, and then back to Encyclopedia Britannica. All the while, she maintained the books for Erwin’s Painting and Decorating company. Services will not be held at this time but a celebration of Anita’s life will be held when it is safe to do so. In lieu of flowers, those who so desire may consider making memorial donations to: Misericordia https://www.misericordia.com/giving/donate-online/ or Catholic Kolping Society 5826 N.
