Obituary of Sulie Miller

Sulie Earlene Miller 94, passed away and joined her husband on April 16, 2021. She was born May 1, 1926 in Itawamba County, Mississippi the daughter of Lee Andy Works and Cora Alice Works (Woods). She married Robert Gene Miller April 1743. in Mississippi and celebrated seventy-six wonderful years together. In 1948 they moved to Zion, IL. Sulie worked at the Candy and Cookie Factor in Zion, IL in her younger years and sold Avon for many years. Sue also worked many years at Ace Hardware in Zion, IL until she had a slight stroke. She lived and worked for her family and loved taking care of of them as well as helping other people. Sue enjoyed working in her vegetable garden and flower beds. Sue was a member of the Zion Moose Lodge and was a Senior Regent and very involved with W.O.T.M., where she quilted, baked cookies, and exchanged recipes. She helped raise money and helped with baskets for the needy at the Moose Lodge and loved going to Moose Heart. Sulie is survived by her son, Robert (Sherry) Neal Miller of Kenosha, WI; grandchildren, Shanda Miller of TN, Cale Miller of WI; great-grandchildren Ariana Aviles, Aadian Miller; great-great grandchildren, Rainelle Aviles; a sister-in-law Martha (James) Miller; a special nephew Jim Funderburk; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband Robert Gene Miller; daughter Betty Jean Miller; parents Lee (Cora) Works; brothers Arnold (Bernice) Works, Ray (Billie) Works, Jim Works; sisters, Robbie (Elmer) Weeks, Charlie Mae (Ben) Funderburk, Desi (Jim) Davis.
