Obituary of Gladys Glander

Gladys M. Glander, 79, lifetime resident of Beach Park, died on Tuesday, September 5, 2006 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. Gladys was born October 28, 1926 in Waukegan. She was a member of the Women's auxiliary of the former Bonnie Brook Fire Department and she was an avid gardener and enjoyed baking. Survivors include two sons Ronald (Judith) Glander of Wadsworth and Gary (Betty) Glander of Beach Park; two grandchildren Gregory Glander of Wadsworth and Kimberlee Glander of Beach Park; and her sister Joan Klinefelter of Beach Park. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard, in 1990; one brother Richard Blanchard; and her parents Lawrence and Ethel Blanchard. Visitation will be Thursday, September 7, 2006 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Funeral services will be held on Friday, September 8th, at 10:00 a.m., at the Congdon Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Northshore Garden of Memories, North Chicago.
