Chester (“Chet”) Kloet, 89, of Kenosha, WI passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on November 7, 2021.
Chet was born July 1, 1932 in Kenosha, WI. He was educated in the schools of Kenosha, WI.
He married the love of his life, Patsy J. Russell, on October 29, 1955 and they were married for 65 years. She preceded him in death on April 2, 2021.
He was a life-long member of Christ Community Church. Chet worked for A&P, AMC, and was a self-employed painter.
On August 25, 1952, he entered the US Navy and was honorably discharged on May 28, 1955.
Chet was a very loving, caring, and giving person. He enjoyed many family gatherings and spending time with his family at their cabin on Shawano Lake, WI. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. He enjoyed talking with his family and friends, watching sports, gardening, playing games, doing puzzles, and relaxing by the lake.
Survivors include his daughters, Carol (Stephen) Capp and Beth (John) DePasquale, grandchildren Keith (Collyn) Capp, Stephanie (Adam) Soebbing, Michelle (Steven) Angelos, and Laura Capp, great grandchildren, Grant and Hadley Capp, Angela and Lily Soebbing, and Matthew, Joshua and Elena Angelos, and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jacob and Elizabeth (Buteyn) Kloet, siblings, Nell (Adrian) Westplate, Marinus Kloet, and John (Phyllis) Kloet.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at Congdons Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion, IL.
