Obituary of Thomas "Tommy" Roode

Thomas “Tommy” James Roode, 51, of Beach Park, IL, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2021. Tommy was born August 11, 1970 in Waukegan, IL to James and Rosemary Roode. He graduated from Warren Township High School with the class of 1988. For the past 14 years he drove a truck for XPO Logistics. Tommy loved to spend time with his daughter, Reign, his little princess. He always looked forward to family gatherings. He enjoyed being outdoors and playing golf. Tommy is survived by his daugher, Reign Roode; parents, Rosemary (nee Zegar) and James Roode; siblings, James (Lisa) Roode, Julie (Dave) Hubbard, Michelle (Tony) Waynick, and Tracy Roode; he was a loving uncle to Ben Hubbard, Nick Poindexter, Blake Hubbard, Kaleb Roode, and Oliva Roode. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Joe and Dorothy Zegar; paternal grandparents, Ben Roode and Katherine Dickerson, and nephew Demetrius Poindexter. Services were held privately for the family and Tommy was laid to rest at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion, IL.
