Obituary of Charlotte Wurdeman

Charlotte Wurdeman, 85, of Beach Park, IL passed away on January 8, 2022 in Lake Forest, IL. She was born on October 27, 1936 in North Chicago, IL the daughter of William and Catherine (Mihan) Crosby. Charlotte graduated from Waukegan Township High School class of 1954. Two years later she met the love of her life Robert Wurdeman at Elks service center while he was stationed at Great Lakes. On June 2, 1956 Robert & Charlotte were married at First Methodist Church in Waukegan, IL. Charlotte was very active in her church Redeemer Lutheran Church in Waukegan, IL, she helped with many organizations. She also enjoyed playing bunco, or go bowling. Charlotte had amazing talent in creating beautiful floral arrangements , and making the best pie for her family and friends. She also loved to travel with family and friends in Florida, California, Massachusetts, Wisconsin, Minnesota and went on Alaskan and Mexican cruises. Charlotte is survived by her husband, Robert Wurdeman; children, Robert Wurdeman, Nancy Theis, James (Gail) Wurdeman; grandchildren, Jessica Theis, Bailee Wurdeman; two great-grandchildren, Lily Thorn, Robert Thorn; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Raymond, Bernice, Dorothy, and Blanche. A Visitation will be on Friday, January 21, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church, 620 W Grove Ave, Waukegan, IL 60085. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park in Libertyville, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Charlotte's name can be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church.
