Obituary of Elliot Banda

Elliot Banda, 67, of Chicago, IL passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 6, 2022 in the comfort of his daughter, Malola's home, surrounded by loved ones. Elliot was born November 11, 1954 in Mangochi, Malawi to Malola Ng'ambi and was also raised by Pastor Alfred Bowa. He later brought his family here to America for a better life, and in that, he succeeded. He was a very hard worker who had his own taxi company in Chicago for many years. He enjoyed the scenery of the big city and driving was his life. Elliot is survived by his children, Humphrey, Bowa, Malola, Naomi, Elliot Jr., Kunsinjili and one daughter in Malawi; grandchildren, Jaylnn, Ezra, Brooklynn, Carmello, Nassir, Jayanni, Promise, Paris, Kiana, Leyah, Kala and Blessings; siblings, Abitimasi, Kunsinjili, Che-Jeke, Richard, Willie, Makaika, Mphatso and Patricia; and step-brother, Hassan. He was preceded in death by his mother, Malola.
