Michael Reid

Michael James Reid, 54, of Zion died on Saturday, October 7, 2006, at home with his wife and children at his side. Michael was born on June 29, 1952 in Waukegan and was a 1970 graduate of Waukegan Township High School. He married Diana Sims on August 20, 1982, in Waukegan. Michael was an active member of the Christ Community Church in Zion, participating in the Zion Guards, the Passion Play, Missions, Awana, Sunday School, and the Golf League. He had been employed for Abbott Laboratories for 17 years and was currently employed for Hospira in Lake Forest. Michael was an exemplary husband, father, and loving friend. Survivors include his wife of 24 years, Diana; two children, Michael (fianc Samantha Falcone) Reid and Tiffany Reid, both of Zion; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother, Alice Hatfield; and grandmother, Nellie Pedersen. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 11 2006, at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Community Church, 2500 Dowie Memorial Dr., Zion. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 10, from 5:00-9:00 p.m. at the Christ Community Church.
