Obituary of Jean S. Kyle

Jean S. Kyle, 89, of Zion, IL passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 13, 2022 in Round Lake Beach, IL. Jean was born on November 29, 1932 in Portageville, Missouri the daughter of Lex Bowman and Flossie Adams. Jean lived in Zion, IL most of her life. She worked for the U.S envelope as a machine operator for twenty-seven years before working at Rolling Hills in Zion, IL as a receptionist where she had many friends including a Parrot. Jean was also a caretaker for her family and friends and babysit her grandson Jeremy after school everyday until he was older. Jean loved to read, dance the jitterbug, garden, and loved all her beloved pets. Jean is survived by her children, Larry Shedd, Debra (Harry) Harkey, Lisa (Doug) Stone, Roger Kyle; grandchildren, Richard (Buffy) Shedd, Shauna Shedd, Sally (Jacob) Morris, Alex Shedd, Jeremy Stone, Helen Harkey; great-grandchildren, Skyler (Cody) Wilkinson, Dakota, Braeden, Lily Grace, Madison, Branson, Meredith, Sophie; great-great-grandchildren, Olivia Reese, and Waymon Gunner; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Jean was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be held on Friday, March 18, 2022 from 10:00 - 12:00 p.m. followed by a Funeral Service at 12:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home 3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion,IL 60099. Burial will follow at Pine View Cemetery in Beach Park, IL
