Obituary of Christine L. Magnuson

Christine L. Magnuson, 82, of Waukegan, IL accepted God’s invitation into his kingdom on April 14, 2022 in Lindenhurst, IL. Christine was born on November 26, 1939 in Topeka, Kansas the daughter of Raymond and Helen (Thorpe) Tilzey. Christine graduated from Topeka High School and married her husband Clarence Magnuson on February 9, 1958. Then settled in Waukegan, Il. Christine was very active in all churches she attended, especially Prince of Peace in Waukegan, IL, and New Hope in Kenosha, WI. Christine played the organ and piano for services, and any event that needed music. Christine also worked for the Waukegan School district as a Buses aide, and teachers aide for special education. Christine loved to go up to the UP of Michigan where she and her family had a cabin. In her spare time she loved to quilt, paint, crafts, and spend time with family. Christine is survived by her three children, Julii (Norman) Pratt, Daniel (Amy) Magnuson, David Magnuson; five grandchildren, Norman 'Buck' Pratt III, Jason Pratt, Alex Magnuson, Cali Magnuson, Trevor Magnuson; four great-grandchildren, Leland Pratt, Sullivan Pratt, Clara Pratt, Chloe Magnuson; brother Winston Tilzey; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Clarence; her parents; and sister Holly Glover. Memorial Visitation will be on Wednesday April 20, 2022 at 4:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 5:00 p.m., at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion, IL 60099.
