Stephen A. Duron III passed away at Vista East Memorial Hospital on Tuesday April 29, 2022.
Stephen was born in Fort Polk, Louisiana on January 27, 1980 to Stephen and Elke Duron. He attended Zion Benton Township High school. On June 7, 2008, he was united in marriage to the love of his life, Diessa Duron, in Waukegan, IL. He was employed with Bader Handyman Service where he worked alongside his best friend Marty Bader Jr for over 15 years.
Growing up, Stephen and his family lived in multiple locations including Germany before settling in Zion, IL. Among his many interests, Steve enjoyed fishing, swimming, sledding and music. He collected shot glasses and money from all over the world. Steve could fix almost anything and could be called on at any hour for assistance. He always showed up with a solution, a big smile, and a lot of swearing. He never met a person that he didn't call a friend.
Surviving is his beloved wife, Diessa Duron; his children McKenzie and Jacob Duron; His mother and father Stephen and Elke Duron; his siblings Mandy (Antonio) Barrera, Toby Duron, Cheyenne Duron, and Isaiah Duron; his best friends Marty (Tini) Bader and Guadalupe (Evelyn) Romo; and 21 nieces and nephews. As well as a host of cousins, aunts, and uncles.
He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents Velia Mendoza, Stephen Duron Sr, Anneliese Heimrot, and Arno Sondergeld.
The family would like to thank The Gift of Hope organ donation team, the mighty men of Tres Dias, and the host of people who have loved and supported us in this difficult time.
