Obituary of Retha Ann Last

Ann Last, 82, of Beach Park, IL, passed away surrounded by her family on May 10, 2022. Ann was born on April 16, 1940 in a small town of Hickman, Kentucky the daughter of William O. and Loretta (Fulcher) Henson. Ann grew up in Kentucky until she was eleven, moved to Winthrop Harbor and graduated from Zion Benton High School. She worked at The Home Cafe & Motel during high school returning later as the owner. She also worked as a realtor and market analysis at Century 21. Ann enjoyed scrapbooking, planting and gardening her roses, decorating Christmas cookies, spending time with her grandson, and going to Las Vegas every year with her daughter and mom for 30 years. She was the queen and member of the Red Hat Society. Ann is survived by her husband, Paul; children, Tami (Glenn) Martin, Donald (Michele) Last, Barbara (Dave) Fitzpatrick; grandchildren, Zane Mager, Brittany Sanchez, Ryan Nedoma, Zachary Last, Caitlin Fitzpatrick; four great-grandchildren, Kenzy, Brayden, Nathan, Aniyah. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Teri Valle; parents, William & Loretta; brother William Henson Jr. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 17, 2022 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion, Illinois 60099. Interment will be private at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion, Illinois. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's hospital or your favorite charity.
