Obituary of George Habenicht

George Habenicht passed away peacefully at home on June 5th, 2022. During his last days, he was surrounded by his wife and children. George’s spirit lives on with his wife of seventy years; Suzanne; the most cherished treasure of his life. You would often see them holding hands or hear them singing old songs to each other. George was a smart, witty, hardworking family man. He enjoyed reading, dancing, camping, and nature. George’s spirit also lives on in the joy, the laughter, and the smiles of his ten children; thirty-seven grandchildren; forty-eight great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and countless family and friends. Visitation will be on Thursday, June 16, 2022, from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion, IL 60099. Second visitation will be on Friday, June 17, 2022, at 9:00 A.M followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m., at Our Lady of Humility Catholic Church in Beach Park, IL. Interment will follow at All Saints Catholic Cemetery in Pleasant Prairie, WI.
