Obituary of Cynthia "Cindy" McMackin

Cynthia “Cindy” McMackin,69, of Kenosha, WI, formerly of Zion, IL, passed away Saturday, June 18th, 2022. 

She was born to Alfred and Evangeline Fox on January 15, 1953 in Waukegan, IL.  Cindy married David McMackin on October 13th, 1978 in Waukegan. She worked in the records division of Radiology at Vista Hospital in Waukegan for 10 years.  Her true passion was raising her grandchildren and taking care of everyone’s children.

Cindy is survived by her husband Dave; children, Joe, Brandi, and Kristie Sallis, Ryan McMackin, Justin (Tanya) McMackin, Scott (Jenny) McMackin, and James McMackin; grandchildren, Shayna Callahan, Dakota Kelley, Daniel Kelley, Laluh Kelley, Ashley Harbin, Kamryn McMackin, Thomas Engelhard, Matthew McMackin, Megan McMackin, Nathan McMackin and Ava McMackin and great-grandchildren; siblings, Mary (Kenny) Anderson, Shelly Dayton, Barb Shroth, George (Nancy) Fox; and sister-in-law Cathy Fox. 

Cindy was preceded in death by her parents; Uncle Warren LaBella; brother Al Fox; granddaughter Alaya McMackin and great-granddaughter Isla Brown. 

A visitation will be held on Monday, June 27, 2022 from 9:00 until 11:00 a.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL.  A funeral service will begin at 11:00 a.m.  Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion, IL.
