Obituary of Berecia Idalia George Scott

Berecia Idalia Scott, 75, of Zion, IL, passed away July 27, 2022.

Berecia was born February 4, 1947 in St. Thomas, Virgin Islands.  Berecia married Paul Scott on March 31, 1996. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Berecia was loved by her entire family, congregation and thousands of people that she supported with her smile, ministry and unwavering heart. Her laughter was infectious and her love was like a warm blanket. She lives on in all the people she touched.

She is survived by her loving husband, Paul Scott; children, Idalia Blopleh, Moses Blopleh Jr. “Popi”, and Equah Blopleh; grandchildren, Ayanna Blopleh, Arianna Blopleh, Ajawan Blopleh, Makii Blopleh, Marcus Grisby Jr., and Isis Grisby; great-granddaughter, Naomi Kai Henton; siblings, Berenice Caines, Beryl Baltimore, Pedrito George, Lionel George, and Lawrence George; a host of nieces, nephews, and other family spread out over several states.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Elsina and Claudius George; and her sisters, Pearl Gittens, Lorna Stone and Hilda Clark.
