Obituary of Nancy Ann Johnson

Nancy Ann Johnson, 68, of Zion, Illinois passed away August 29, 2022, at home.  Nancy was born February 16, 1954, in New York City, New York to James and Lelia Johnson.

Nancy earned two master’s degrees and one bachelor’s degrees from Eastern Illinois University and Colorado University.  She was a member of Memorial United Methodist Church in Zion, Il.  Nancy retired as a teacher from Waukegan School district.

She is survived by her mother, Lelia E. Johnson; brothers, James F. Johnson and George W. Johnson; Johnson kids and all her “short cakes”; other relatives, James, Chris, Jared, Joel, Frank, Nick, Katrina, Isaiah, Marquis, Lelia, plus many many more.

Nancy is preceded in death by James E. Johnson, her beloved father.

Services will be held on Friday, September 9, 2022, at Memorial United Methodist Church in Zion. Visitation will be from 10 am to 11 am, with a celebration of Nancy’s life at 11 am. The family is asking in lieu of flowers donations are made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in Nancy’s name.
