Justin Ryan Jensen, 38, of Beach Park, Illinois passed away on October 16, 2022 at Vista Medical Center with his loving mother by his side.
Justin was born June 29, 1984, in McHenry, Illinois. He attended Zion Benton High School with the class of ‘03 and lived in Beach Park nearly all his life. Justin worked in the Produce Department at Jewel-Osco for 22 years.
Justin loved music, movies, and video games but the thing he loved most was spending time with his friends and family. He had an amazing and unique sense of humor, so these times were often filled with lots of jokes, laughs, and pranks. Beneath his edgy exterior, Justin was a big ol’ softy; he was kind, generous, and incredibly sentimental. Anyone that was lucky enough to befriend him earned a permanent place in his heart. He will be deeply missed by so many.
Justin was also an avid collector of ceramic cat figurines and enjoyed crocheting in his spare time.
He is survived by his parents, Steven and Debra Jensen of Beach Park; his sisters, Margaret Duncan and Jandel (Riki) Kelly-Tagliapietra; nieces and nephews, Wyatt Clemenz, Rhyen Kelly, Alexander Peugh, Jersey Peugh, and Lincoln Peugh; his brothers from other mothers, Eddie LaForge, Sean and Josh Pumala and their dad Gary Pumala; and his beloved cats who were like his children, Mickey and Mallory.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Robert and Imogene Jensen, and Elberton and Josie Duncan; “other mother”, Ramona Pumala; his other brother from another mother, Charlie Hickman; and Boots the cat.
A visitation will be held on Monday, October 24, from 5:00 until 8:00 at Congdon Funeral Home in Zion. In lieu of flowers and in honor of Justin’s love for cats, please consider a donation to Kindred Kitties Rescue Organization,
