Eric H. Roberts

Our family is deeply saddened to announce the passing of our son, brother and uncle, Eric Henry Roberts, 55, of Zion, IL on November 22,2022. He was born on August 22, 1967 in Waukegan, IL the son of Donald (Mary Brown) Roberts.

Eric graduated from Zion Benton high school in 1985. He also served in the U.S Air Force for two years before working for DN Welding in Waukegan, IL. Eric was a "grease monkey" and his passion was stock car racing. Some of the tracks he raced at were Lake Geneva, Elkhart Lake, and Milwaukee Mile.

He is survived by his parents, Donald and Mary Roberts; sisters Andrea Ball, Patricia (Dan) Moore; nephews Robert (Nicole) Rixie, Donald (Jenna) Rixie, Christopher Ball; nieces Vanessa (Wes) McCluskey, Lauren (Daniel) Rogan; several great nephews and nieces. Eric is also survived by many other extended family, friends, and the love of his life Christine.

Visitation will be held on Friday, December 2, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 6:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion, IL 60099. Interment will be private at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park in Zion, IL.
