George Edward Hendricks Sr.

George Edward Hendricks Sr., 58, of  Racine, WI  passed away on November 21, 2022.  He was born on February 22, 1964, in Waukegan, IL. The son of Edward E. Hendricks and Jeannette Watson.

George went to Zion Benton, graduating in the class of 1982, he was on the swim team. He married his wife, Jennifer, at Shiloh Park, Zion, IL, on September 4, 1993. George worked as a construction worker, then later worked for Tony’s Citgo gas station as a clerk, before working as a sanitation worker.

George had several hobbies and interests; fishing with his grandkids, watching sprint cars, Monster trucks, and was a huge Chicago Bears football fan. He was also talented in making model cars, and working on vehicles. George was the life of the party, always lighting off fireworks, spending time with family and friends and sneaking in a good prank on everyone. Along with being a huge fan of food fights.

George is survived by his wife, Jennifer Ann (Wilford) Hendricks; children Nicole Lee Roberts, George Edward Hendricks Jr., Samantha Autumn Hendricks; grandchildren Cheyenne Myers, Robert Mennes III, Payton Hendricks, Katelynn Mennes, Elijah Mennes, James Hendricks; brother Ira (Cathy) Watson; sister Lori Reilly; several nieces, nephews, cousins; special friends Charles Latham, Andrew Barsamian, and Tony’s Gas Mart friends.

George is preceded in death by his parents; and sister Annette Watson Rulien.

Memorial visitation will take place Saturday, December 3, 2022 at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL from 4:00 - 6:00 p.m. followed by a memorial service at 6:00 p.m.
