Obituary of Leslie Diaz

Leslie Diaz was born in Waukegan, Illinois to Minerva and Marcelino Diaz on February 4, 1955. He passed away November 28, 2022, in Highland Park, Illinois.  He was raised in Waukegan, Illinois and graduated from Waukegan Township Highschool Class of 1973.

Leslie attended Illinois University and graduated in 1991 with a degree in accounting. While in school he worked for Chrysler from 1973 till 2003.

Leslie enjoyed gymnastics and wrestling in high school and was an amazing chess player. Leslie enjoyed golf, riding motorcycles, and watching boxing. Leslie shares his birthday with his mother Minerva. Leslie was the best flan maker.

Leslie is Survived by his father Marcelino Diaz; Siblings Myrna (Angelo) Negron, Marcelino (Tote) Diaz Jr., Gladys Diaz-Bradford, Samuel (Sammy) Diaz, Norberto Diaz, Tait Diaz, Marilyn (Meri) McClelland, Ileana (Tati) Diaz, Eddie (Michelle) Diaz (Cuchie) and girlfriend, Dorothy Becerril; along with many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Leslie is preceded in death by his mother Minerva Diaz.

Visitation will be held Sunday, December 4, 2022 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the Congdon Funeral Home with a funeral service at 7:00 pm. Interment will be private for the family.
