Bill Ianson, 48, of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois, died on Thursday, November 9, 2006 at his home.
Bill was born October 1, 1958 in Waukegan and has lived in Zion and Winthrop Harbor all of his life. He graduated from Zion-Benton Township High School, Class of 1976. He was employed for 27 years at American Fiber Company in Waukegan. Bill also enjoyed music, sports, the Chicago Bears and his family.
Survivors include his father Leonard E. Ianson of Kenosha, Wisconsin; his mother Shirley Ianson of Beach Park; two brothers Glenn Ianson of Green Bay, Wisconsin and Richard (Diana) Ianson of Zion; three nephews Jason (Brittany) Ianson of Kenosha, Wisconsin, Justin (Jamie) Ianson of Kenosha, Wisconsin and Glenn (Caitlin) Ianson of Green Bay, Wisconsin; and one niece Candy (David) Angel of Kenosha, Wisconsin.
He was preceded in death by his daughter Erica in 1990; his paternal grandparents Leonard and Dorothy Ianson; and his maternal grandparents John and Margaret Nix.
Visitation will be Wednesday, November 15, 2006, from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Private interment services will be held later at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to Children's Memorial Hospital, Chicago has been suggested.
