Obituary of Kenneth Kasten

Kenneth Howard Kasten entered fully into the presence of the Lord on December 30, 2022, after a lengthy illness. Ken was born on September 1, 1964 in Racine, WI to Beverley (Everett) Kasten and Howard Kasten.

Ken married the love of his life Judy (Senter) Kasten in 1993 and loved her children Nicholas (Lisa) Bunnell and Ashley (Jon Mathieu) Bunnell as his own. Ken and Judy loved travel and camping, especially at Jellystone Park in Caledonia, WI. Ken’s friendly face and willingness to help friends and strangers alike inspired all who knew him.

In addition to Judy, Nick and Ashley, Ken is survived by sister, Kate (Scott) Kusman; nieces Andrea (Matt) Burgess, Marissa Kusman; great-niece Nevaeh Kusman; great-nephews Gabe Kusman, Emil Burgess, and Eli Jackson; step-grandson Lucas Bunnell, and countless cherished friends and family.

Ken’s family would like to give special thanks to Ann Parrish, Kate Kusman, Anita Blumenschein and Tom and Debi Barnstable for the care and love they showed Ken during his illness.

In lieu of flowers, monetary donations may be made to The Giving Point Food Pantry c/o The Point Church in Winthrop Harbor https://thepointwh.org/support; or Orphans of the Storm Animal Shelter in Deerfield.

Visitation will take place Saturday, January 7, 2023 at 10:00a.m. with a service to follow at 11:00 a.m. at The Point Church, 900 Lewis Ave, Winthrop Harbor,  IL 60096. Please join the family following the service for a lunchoun following the  service also at the church.
