Jeffrey Bruebach

Obituary of Jeffrey Bruebach

Jeffrey D. Bruebach, of Winthrop Harbor, went home to be with Jesus on January 25th, 2023. He was born on May 7th, 1974 in Raleigh, NC to Ralph and Jina Bruebach.

Devoted husband, proud and loving Dad, cherished son, devoted brother and brother-in-law.  A very special uncle and beloved friend.

He was raised in Round Lake Heights, IL and attended Calvary Christian School for Middle School and then graduated from Round Lake Senior High School in 1992.

He was a musician and songwriter and some of his very best times were when he was writing songs and playing drums with many talented musicians and bands (Stranger Things, Intro to Physics) over the years.

Along with writing his own music, he loved listening to music and two of his favorite bands were U2 and The 77s (he actually got to perform live with The 77s on a couple different occasions).

He loved cooking, the Cubs, English Premier League Soccer, and creating ridiculous memes on Facebook.

He was multi-talented; a God-given blessing and his music will be forever with us. We love you, Jeff!

Not goodbye, just see you later…

Jeff is survived by his loving family, Wife, Stephanie; Daughter, Lilianna; Brother, James (Deborah); Sister, Robin; many nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Father, Step-Father, and Grand Parents.

A Celebration of Life Party will be held at Cypress Resort & Marina, 25635 W Hermann Ave, Antioch, IL on May 27th at 2:00 pm, with a reception to immediately follow where we'll snack, continue to share stories, laugh, crack some funny jokes, and remember Jeff.

A tribute concert for Jeff will also take place on May 27th at Sharky’s Billiards, 601 Railroad Ave, Round Lake, IL at 7:30pm (Doors open at 6:45) where former bandmates reunite and perform songs from bands that Jeff was a major part of (Stranger Things and Intro to Physics).

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Music Rising (www.musicrising.com), ASPCA, or a charity close to your heart.
