Obituary of Charles Moyer

Charles W. Moyer, 82, of Zion, Illinois , passed away April 15, 2023 in Waukegan, Illinois. He was born on February 24, 1941 in Harrisburg, Illinois.

Charles was Superman! He could do anything and would help in any way possible. He raised eight children and was an amazing father and grandfather. He worked hard and tirelessly to ensure his family always had what they needed. Charles also had hundreds of friends that were around daily getting their cars looked at because Charles was the BEST CAR MECHANIC EVER! When the sun was shining and no work was being done, you could find Charles swinging in the backyard swing, enjoying the sun.

Charles is survived by his children, Kim Moyer, Kevin Moyer, Kala LaLond, Dede Parker, Sandra Cook, June Fogel, and Dawn Campbell; grandchildren, Charles Hall, Jason Walters, Jacqueline Kaiser, Brian Cashmore, Amber Demarr, Prentice Parker, Candy, Bonnie, Crystal (Cook), Tonya Collins, Samantha Carr, Kori Harris, Kyle Earnst; lots of great grandchildren; and fourteen nieces and nephews.

Charles was preceded in death by his wife Bonnie Moyer; son, William Cook; mother, Hattie Moyer; father, Tilford Moyer; brother, Jerry Moyer; and sister, Donna. 

Visitation will be held Monday April 24, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, Illinois, 60099. Followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home.
