Obituary of Judith Ortiz

Judith Ortiz, 68, of Beach Park, Illinois passed away peacefully at home on June 17, 2023. 

Judith was a devoted Christian who attended Waukegan Baptist Bible Church. Judith started her work career at Vista’s former St. Therese location and worked for Vista East for 31 years. Her coworkers affectionately called her “Eagle Eyes”. 

Judith is survived by her daughters, Marisol Ramos and Jennifer (Jossy) Ortiz; grandchildren, Alexander (Bryttany) Ramos, Braulia Lazaro, Jacque Hernandez, Jazmine Lazaro, “Lil” Johnny Hernandez, Anastacia Carrasco; seven great grandchildren and many loving nieces and nephews; siblings, Gladys (Tim) Leonard, Carmen (Mark) Borland, Freddy Perez, Mildred (Rick) Eckenstaller, and Mariela Perez; beloved cat Mila and two grand dogs, Rocko and Apollo. 

She is preceded in death by her parents; Dolores “Lola” and Lorenzo Perez Sr; siblings, Ivan Perez, Lucy Muellemann, Lorenzo “Papo” Perez Jr., and Jesse Perez.

A visitation is scheduled for Wednesday June 28, 2023 from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL. A memorial service will follow at 7:00 p.m.
