Christina Friederichs

Christina Marie Friederichs was born February 18, 1951 to Henry and Margaret Friederichs. She was the 6th out of seven children and grew up in Zion, Illinois. She retired at the age of 37 from Abbott labs and spent the next 31 years in Florida. Her favorite hobby was making wood signs and crafts to sell. She had a stroke in 2019 and finally came back to Zion so her brother Ray could help take care of her. She spent her final days at Rolling Hills Nursing Home and passed away peacefully on September 9, 2023, with her favorite nurse Donna at her side.

The family would like to thank especially the nurses at Rolling Hills and care givers from Suncrest hospice for their care.

She leaves behind her sister, Marjorie Breehl: brother, Ray (Nancy) Friederichs  and many nieces and nephews.

Christina was preceded in death by her son, Shawn Phillip Friederichs Salinas: parents, Henry and Margaret Friederichs: siblings, Dianna, Ronald, Robert, and Douglas.

As per her request there will be no service, but her ashes will be spread in the gulf of Mexico, outside of Dunedin where she was her happiest collecting sea shells on the shore and soaking up the sun.
