Obituary of Robert "Bud" Casey

Robert “Bud” H. Casey, 84, of Waukegan, Illinois passed away Sunday, November 5, 2023 at home. Bud was born to Will and Emma Casey in Shawneetown, IL March 29, 1939.

Bud was a business owner in Waukegan for over 60 years. One of his establishments was the famous Casey’s Corner. He spent 20 years in Palm Harbor, FL as a snowbird. Bud Loved spending time with his grandchildren, traveling, fishing, gambling and having fun times with his friends and family.

Bud is survived by his significant other, Barbra Miller; son, Robert (Lisa) Casey; stepdaughter, Kelly Smith; grandchildren, Emma Casey, Robert Casey and William Casey; brother, Jim (Karen) Casey; sisters Eva Chandler and Gelnda Hauth and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Will and Emma Casey; brothers, Carroll Casey, Hearl Casey and Earl Casey; sisters, Ruth Bradley, Rita Bradley, Helen Haye, Anna Jameson, Jane Randl and Inez Gibson.

Visitation will take place Tuesday, November 14, 2023 at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion, IL from 5:00 to 8:00 P.M. Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at the Congdon Funeral Home. Interment to follow at Warren Cemetery in Gurnee, IL. In lieu of flowers, donations in Buds name can be made to the American Cancer Society or American Juvenile Arthritis Organization.
