Teresa Powers

Teresa R. Powers, 67, of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, passed away November 3, 2023 in Pleasant Prairie. She was born April 5, 1956 in Hastings, Nebraska to parents William Sr. And Shirley Nikkila.

Teresa previously lived in Zion, Illinois graduating from Zion Benton Township Highschool. She also studied at College of Lake County. Teresa was a member of the Lakeshore Tabernacle church, the Zion Revival Center, and the Waukegan Moose Lodge.

Teresa was an avid crafter and loved crocheting and making things for others. She also loved playing video games with her kids.

Teresa is survived by her children Cristy R. Smith-Shively and Amanda J. Ray; grandchildren, Justin, Caitlin, and Thomas Carleton, Colby Smith-Shively, Shea, Grace, Aiden, and Danniel Ray.; great-grandchildren, Charlotte, Jackson, and Azariah Carleton ; father, William Nikkila Sr.; siblings William Nikkila Jr., Tabitha Holcomb, Kevin Nikkila, and Rebecca Tinker.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Yvonne Nikkila; brother,  David Nikkila; and former spouse Michael W. Powers.
