Viola Simpson

Viola L. "Vi" Simpson, 77, of Zion, died on Friday, January 5, 2007 at Westmoreland Nursing Home in Lake Forest, Illinois. Vi was born August 13, 1929 in Zion. She was a graduate of Zion-Benton Township High School, Class of 1947. She was also an active member of Lakeview Church of Zion. Survivors include one son Robert "Bobby" (Bethany) Simpson Jr. Of Wadsworth; seven grandchildren Kayla, Andrea, Kaitlyn, Mikaela and Drew Dahlman and Zachary and Hanna Simpson; one brother Virgil (Audrey) Ford of Brookline Station, Missouri; and her sister-in-law Mary Ford of Kenosha, Wisconsin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Simpson Sr. in 2004; her daughter Connie Dahlman in 2000; one brother Ronald Ford; and her parents Elmer and Priscilla Ford. Visitation will be Monday, January 8, 2007, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Lakeview Church, 19th and Sheridan Road, Zion. Funeral services will be held on Monday at 7:00 p.m. at Lakeview Church with Pastor Les Martin officiating. Entombment will be Tuesday, January 9th, at Warren Cemetery with the procession leaving Lakeview Church at 12:30 p.m.
