Karen L. (Braden) Wetmore, 67, of Zion, IL, passed away peacefully, March 30, 2024 surrounded by loved ones. She was born March 1, 1957 in Waukegan, IL. She loved the little things in life: coffee, music, her animals and her family.

Karen is a beloved wife of 43 years to Raymond A. Wetmore Jr.  She is a cherished mother to Christina (Jeremiah) Alterson, Rachel Wetmore, and Jennifer Wetmore. Karen was also an amazing Grandmother to Brian Schroeder Jr, Ryne Anhock, Nolan Anhock, Caleb Allen, Sophia Allen, Allisen Wetmore, and Isaac Alterson.

Karen is survived by her brothers, James (Karen) Braden and R. Doug (Charlene) Braden.

She was preceded in death by her parents, William and Lorraine Braden; brothers, William Braden, Thomas Braden, and Mark Braden.

Visitation will take place Thursday, April 11, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, Il. 60099. Funeral service will begin at 12:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Pineview Memorial Park, Beach Park, Il.
