Roy C. "Butch" Reynolds, 62, of Beach Park, Illinois, died on Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at home following a long and courageous battle with cancer.
He was born February 4, 1944 in Chicago and has been a resident of Lake County since the age of 14. He retired in 2000 from Cherry Electric in Waukegan. "Butch" was an avid Chicago Bears Fan and was looking forward to the Bears win on Sunday, his birthday.
Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Linda; children Robert (Deanna) Reynolds of Zion, Illinois, Wendy (John) Ernesti of McHenry, Illinois, Thomas (Jennifer) Reynolds of Lake Villa, Illinois and T.J. (Claudia) Tribur of Kenosha, Wisconsin; grandchildren Benjamin, Eva-Marie, Elizabeth, Elliana, Isaiah, Grace, Tyler, Juliana, Bryton and Jon; siblings Richard (Chris) Reynolds of Fox Lake, Illinois, Renee Robillard of Gurnee, Illinois and Patrick McMichael of Arizona; and his former wife, Jill Loll of Ingleside, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his father Roy W. Reynolds; his mother Jonell McMichael; his step-mother Lorraine Reynolds; one brother Robert D. Reynolds; and one sister Ellen McMichael.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 3, 2007 at 3:00 p.m. at North Point Community Chrisitan Church, 900 N. Lewis Avenue, Winthrop Harbor, Illinois, with Pastor Dennis Corley officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to University of Illinois at Chicago Hospital - Charity Care, has been suggested.
