Ronald Ekquist

Ronald Ekquist,72, of Beach Park, died on Tuesday, February 27, 2007, at home. Ronald was born July 18, 1934, in Rock,Michigan, and was a 1952 graduate of Zion-Benton Township High School. He retired from Liquid Controls Corporation after 20 years of employment and prior to that worked for Johns-Manville in Waukegan. Ronald was a NASCAR fan. He is survived by a daughter, Gloria (Chris) Patty of Sumner, Iowa; son, Gregory (fianc Toni Hull) Lowery of Holmen, WI; grandchildren, Christopher Zumalt, Amy Stolfus, and Krystle Patty; great-grandchildren, Christopher, Journey, Hunter, and Ayden; mother, Tye Sperry of Urbandale, Iowa; sisters, Betty (Chris)Scheuchl, of Urbandale, Iowa, Lucille Phillips of Cape Girardeau, Missouri, and Norma (Butch)Brodale of Bode, Iowa, and numerous nieces and nephews. Ronald's family would like to thank Don Zumalt for his life-long friendship and assistance during this difficult time. He was preceded in death by his father, Walter Ekquist and step-father, Edgar Sperry. Funeral Services are private for the family.
