Kevin Ruperd

Kevin D. Ruperd "Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints." Surrounded by his family on Saturday, November 19, 2011, precious son and our beloved brother, Kevin D. Ruperd,52, of Zion, IL, went to be with his Lord. Kevin was born June 3, 1959, in Waukegan, IL. He attended Zion Benton High School where he was a member of the hockey team. He was an avid Chicago Blackhawks and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. (Go Hawks! Go Steelers!) He enjoyed photography, cooking and being with his family. He will be greatly missed by his mother, Charlotte Ruperd of Winthrop Harbor, IL; brother, Stephen Ruperd of Silver Lake, WI; sisters, Tammy (Frank) Vioski, Terry (Tom) Waldron, Cheryl Hook, Debbie (Joe) Green, all of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Toni (Howard) Meyers of Gurnee, IL, Lisa (Dave) Steplyk of Pleasant Prairie, WI, and Connie (Larry) Love of Vero Beach, FL; 14 nieces and nephews; 16 great-nieces and great-nephews; and his two cats, Bear and Pea Wee, whom he dearly loved. Kevin is preceded in death by his father, Jesse A. Ruperd (USMC) and sister-in-law, Connie Ruperd (nee Larson). A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, November 29, 2011, at 7:00 p.m. at Trinity Christian Center, 2600 Lewis Ave., Zion, IL Friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 6:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church. Memorial donations will be accepted by Trinity Christian Center for the Royal Rangers program, in his memory.
