Obituary of Frank Bogdala

Frank J. Bogdala Jr., 77, of Pleasant Prairie, WI, died on Monday, April 16, 2007, at home, surrounded by his family. Frank was born November 25, 1929, in Chicago, IL, and married Marilyn Wintz on October 1, 1949, in Highland Park, IL. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Waukegan. Frank retired from Ft. Sheridan where he was employed as a civil engineer. He was a volunteer for the Bonnie Brook Fire Department for 9 years, and for the Pleasant Prairie Fire Department for 22 years. Frank also volunteered at Kenosha Memorial Hospital in the Emergency Department. He also worked for Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, in, Zion, IL, for many years. Frank was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He loved the outdoors and was an avid camper. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Marilyn; daughter, Carol (Dr. Kenneth) Wendorf of Kenosha, WI; sons, Robert J. Bogdala , and Scott J. (Susan) Bogdala, both of Kenosha, WI; grandchildren, Kristopher and Kurt Wendorf, Shawn and Mark Bogdala, and Suzanne and Scott Bogdala; brothers, Henry (Beverly) Bogdala of Waukegan, IL, Richard(Jeanne) Bogdala of Winthrop Harbor, IL, sisters, Shirley Lopez of Wadsworth, IL, Dolores Eveline of Kenosha, WI, Sandra Drennen of Kenosha, WI, and many nieces and nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by daughters, Debra Lynn Bogdala, and Marilyn Debra "Lyn" Bogdala; and brother, father and mother Frank and Emma (nee Peslak) Bogdala, andRoger Bogdala. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2007, at 10:30 a.m at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, 824 N. Lewis Ave., Waukegan, IL. Interment will follow at Northshore Garden of Memories, North Chicago, IL. Visitation will be on Friday, April 20, 2007, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL, and also from 9:30 until the time of the service on Saturday at the church.
