Obituary of Reta Rickert

Reta L. Rickert, 91, of Beach Park, IL, formerly of Grayslake, IL, died on Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at Hospitality Manor Nursing Home, Kenosha, WI. Reta was born March 10, 1916, in Lake Villa, IL, and worked side-by-side with her husband Fred in their electrical contracting business. She was a former member of the Eastern Star and was active with the Home Bureau of Lake County and lifelong member of the Waukegan Yacht Club. Survivors include a son, Fred A.(Sally) Rickert Jr. of Beach Park, IL; daughter, Marie Koskey of Murfreesboro, TN; twelve grandchildren, Reta Joan, Richard, Christopher, Anne, Fred III, Sara, Paul, Jonathan, Philip, Michael, James, and Jeanmarie; seventeen great-grandchildren; sisters, Beatrice Collins of Schaumburg, IL, and Mary Longman of Kenosha, WI; and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred A. Rickert Sr. in 1986; brothers, Charles and Orville Hawkins; and sister, Lilah Olson. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, May 14, 2007, at 10:30 a.m. at Christ Community Church, 2500 Dowie Memorial Dr. Zion. with Pastor Jon Wiziarde officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Visitation will be from 9:30 a.m., Monday, until the time of services at the church.
