Obituary of Virginia Simonich

Virginia E. Simonich, 90, of Zion, Il, died on Monday, June 11, 2007, at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. Virginia was born in 1917, in Chicago and came to Zion in 1953. She married Peter Simonich on December 9, 1941, in Chicago. Virginia loved knitting and enjoyed bingo, gardening, and music. She was a loving mother and grandmother. Survivors include a daughter, Joan (David) Ayotte of Zion, IL; grandchildren, David Ayotte Jr. of New York, N.Y., Jeff Ayotte of Gurnee, IL, and Greg Ayotte of Zion,; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Peter in 1994; and brothers, Billy Stokes and Ernest Stokes Jr. A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, June 15, 2007, at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, Il. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Visitation will be from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home on Friday.
