Obituary of Carl Nybeck

Carl R. Nybeck, 79, of Waukegan, Illinois, died on Friday, June 22, 2007 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. Carl was born January 17, 1928 in Hayward, Wisconsin and has lived in Waukegan since 1965. He retired from the Navy at Great Lakes following 22 years of service. He later retired from Honeywell in 1993 as an Electrical Engineer. Survivors include his children Rhoda Nybeck of Gurnee, Illinois, Martha Putz of Joliet, Illinois and Carl Nybeck of Phoenix, Arizona; nine grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one sister Elaine (Gene) Chamness of Waukesha, Wisconsin. He was preceded in death by his wife Jane G. Nybeck in 1987; one daughter Claudia Nett; and his parents Carl and Victoria (nee Maple) Nybeck. A visitation will be held on Monday, June 25, 2007, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, with private cremation to follow. Memorial donations to A Safe Place in Waukegan have been suggested.
