Eunice Wickersheim

1919 — June 24, 2007

Eunice M. Wickersheim, 88, of White Lake, Wisconsin, died on Sunday, June 24, 2007 at Taylor Park Nursing Home in Rhinelander, Wisconsin. She was born May 2, 1919 in White Lake to the late James and Sarah (nee Hatten) Townsend. On October 24, 1936 she and the late Fred Wickersheim married in Waukegan, Illinois. Mrs. Wickersheim is a member of the Four Corners Assembly of God Church in White Lake and Christian Assembly of God Church in Zion. She graduated from Elton Grade School in Elton Wisconsin. Following her marriage she lived in Beach Park. She was employed at Midwest Molding for 24 years and retired from Cherry Electric in 1984. She moved to Mesa, Arizona in 2001 to make her home with her daughter, Sharon Dill. They returned to White Lake in 2005. She enjoyed crafts, crocheting, and playing her harmonica. Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Dill of White Lake, Wisconsin; three sons, Dwayne (Gloris) Wickersheim of Zion, Lonny (Laurel) Wickersheim of Glendale, Arizona and Leon Wickersheim of Mesa, Arizona; eleven grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews including Daryl Wickersheim who lived with them for a time. She was preceded in death by her husband, Fred; three brothers, Vernon Townsend, Omer Townsend, and Earl Townsend; three sisters, Gladys Powers, Nettie Whitt and Eldena Combs; and her parents. Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, June 28, 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, with Rev. Marvin Kindle officiating. Interment will follow at Pineview Memorial Park, Beach Park. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 27th from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the Congdon Funeral Home.
