Obituary of Donald Leppen

Donald H. Leppen slept away peacefully on Thursday, November 29, 2007. He was born April 15, 1949 at Great Lakes Naval Base in Illinois. He was the loving son of Vienna "Vi" and Arthur "Lee" Leppen of Waukegan, Illinois. Donald had a gentle spirit with a loving heart throughout his lifetime. He lived at home before moving to Beverly Farms in Godfrey, Illinois. From there his journey brought him back to the Chicago area where he resided at Lambs Farm in Libertyville, Illinois. After a short illness, he moved to assited living at Wealshire in Lincolnshire, Illinois. His final days were full of love and joy with friends, family and staff surrounding him. He is survived by his loving mother, Vienna Leppen of Vernon Hills, Illinois; his family, Corrine Leppen of Laurium, Michigan, Michael Leppen of Glencoe, Illinois, Robert and Joyce Leppen of Hawthorn Woods, Illinois, Howard and Lori Leppen of Spring Grove, Illinois, David and Kristen Leppen of Grand Blanc, Michigan, Jeff and Jennifer Leppen of Syracuse, New York, Nicole Leppen of Chicago, Illinois and his aunt Miriam Hoover of Glencoe, Illinois. He was preceded in death by his father Arthur Leppen; and his brother David Leppen. Visitation will be Monday, December 3, 2007, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 4th, at 10:00 a.m. at First Apostolic Lutheran Church, 39372 Carol Lane, Beach Park, Illinois, with Pastor Jim Torola officiating. Interment will follow at Northshore Garden of Memories, North Chicago, Illinois. Memorial gifts may be made to either First Apostolic Church, or, The Wealshire (Assisted Living), 150-170 Jamestown Lane, Lincolnshire, Illinois 60069.
