Obituary of Denise Prueitt

Denise Lynn Prueitt (nee McCormick) 49, of Pleasant Prairie, WI, unexpectedly passed away Oct. 6, 2011, at her home. She was born Aug. 27, 1962, in Waukegan, IL, to Ben and Anna (Garrison) McCormick. Denise graduated from Waukegan East High School in 1980. She was formerly employed with Abbott Labs for 23 years. Survivors include her very loved sons, Tyler Benjamin (Alina) Roberts of Buffalo Grove, IL, Reece Marshall, Trevor Michael, and Kellin Austin Prueitt all of Wadsworth, IL; former husband and father of her sons, Randy Prueitt of Wadsworth, IL; mother, Ann McCormick of Beach Park; sisters, Sherie Beth (Jerry) McPherson of Beach Park, Gina Marie Adams (Jim Ochoa) of Pleasant Prairie, WI; grandson, Nathan Alexander Roberts; nieces, Ericka Adams (Mike Sigafus), Tawny and Corey Ochoa; nephews, Garrett and Brian McPherson, Kaine Sigafus; and her loving aunts, Coleta Wingo of Waukegan, Carolyn Peters of Rockford, IL, Opal Baird of Wadsworth, and Brenda Winters of TN; loving uncles, Dean Garrison of AZ, and Bill Garrison of KY; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her dad, Benjamin on April 3, 2011. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, October 11, 2011, at 12:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Libertyville, IL. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to Star Hospice, Waukegan, IL.
