Obituary of Mavis Hough

Mavis M. Age 85, passed away on January 25, 2013, in Chicago, Illinois. Mavis was born on November 4, 1927, at Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan, Illinois, the daughter of Horace and Opal Hardy of Zion, Illinois. She attended Zion Benton Township High School; worked at Ashland Jewelers in Zion; the Opthamology office of Dr. Lyons in Waukegan; and The Home Shopping Network of Pinellas Park, Florida. She enjoyed reading, cats, bowling, and volunteering at the Pinellas Park Public Library in Pinellas Park, Florida. She was married to Paul Hough of Zion, Illinois, for 22 years. She was a long time close friend of Gloria Gordon of Waukegan, Illinois. Mavis is survived by her sons, Larry Hough and wife Jane of Monterey, Virginia, and Gerald Hough and wife Julia of Chicago, Illinois; Mavis' brother, Leonard Hardy and wife Judy of Gurnee, Illinois; five granddaughters; and six great grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL, on Tuesday, January 29, 2013 from 4:00 until 6:00 p.m. Interment will be private for the family at Benton-Greenwood Cemetery, Benton Township, Illinois.
