Obituary of Inda McBride

McBride, Inda L. 76, of Holly Springs, MS, went home to heaven on Monday, February 18, 2013, after a long battle with diabetes. Inda was born May 22, 1936, in Zion, IL, and attended Zion-Benton Township High School. She married her late husband, Don McBride on July 1, 1957, in Winthrop Harbor, IL. She intended to live her entire life in Zion, but after Don passed away, Inda moved to Christopher's Personal Care Home in Holly Springs. At Christopher's she made many new friends and brought happiness to everyone she met. She was a member of the North Prairie Methodist Church in Winthrop Harbor and a lifetime member of the Winthrop Harbor VFW Ladies Auxillary. Survivors include her children, Tanya Marie (Chuck) McBride-Churchill of Holly Springs, MS, and Frank McBride of Beach Park, IL; five grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; sister, Mary Peters of Potterville, MI; brothers, Ted Bambrough of FL, and Del (Jan) Bambrough of Tucson, AZ, special cousin, Nanci Hillman of Boulder, CO; and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Don, in 2010; parents, Robert Banes and Harriett Swim; brother, Denzel Bambrough; sister, Dorothy DeHart; sisters-in-law, Carol Bambrough, and Mary Bambrough; and brother-in-law, Rev. Tom Peters. Visitation will be Friday, February 22,2013, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Memorial donations are suggested to the American Diabetes Association.
