Obituary of Charles Kyrk

Charles "Bob" Kyrk, 60, of Winthrop Harbor, died on Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at home surrounded by his family. Bob was born July 5, 1947 in Waukegan. He was a graduate of Illinois State University and was employed for 32 years at Abbott Labs. He was also a Veteran of the Vietnam War having served with the Army 101st Airborne. Bob was a collector of Corvettes, enjoyed downhill skiing, and dabbled in home construction and Real Estate. Survivors include his mother, Merle Kyrk of Zion; two sisters Sharran (Bill) Warren of Winthrop Harbor and Sandra (Robert "Chip") Mitchell of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin; his former wife Kevyn Uhlmeyer of Wauconda, Illinois; nieces and nephews Michael (Julie) Warren and Christopher (fiance Phyllis Porcelli) Warren both of Oak Park, Illinois, Patricia (Scott) Leick of Kenosha, Wisconsin, and Kyrsten Mitchell and Amanda Mitchell both of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin; and two great-nephews and one great-niece. He was preceded in death by his father Charles S. Kyrk; and one great-nephew. Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 28, 2008, at 12:00 noon, at the Victory Baptist Church, 3401 Springbrook Road, Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin 53158 with Rev. Jerry Beaver officiating. Visitation will be on Monday from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at the Church. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to either Gideon International or Feed the Children have been suggested.
